Mount Rainier showcases the Veterans Adventure Group's largest effort, both in partnering with our local support networks and in our ability to bring veterans from all across the United States together to climb this iconic peak.
Over the past eight years, we have built a unique relationship with the Rainier Park Service, allowing us to provide training at Camp Muir and Ingraham Flats. With our experienced team of leaders, we facilitate an entire day of skills in a roped glacier environment. We then build on those skills by establishing our rope teams and working together to assess the route conditions and go for the top!
Mount Rainier, also known as Tahoma, is a large active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest. With a summit elevation of 14,411', it is the highest mountain in Washington state, the most topographically prominent mountain in the contiguous United States, and the most glaciated peak in the lower 48.
