Aconcagua is Veterans Adventure Group's newest effort, both in partnering with our local support networks and in our ability to bring veterans from all across the United States together to climb this iconic peak.
We have spent several years in Argentina, building relationships with locals who work on the mountain and in Mendoza in order to create a veteran-led experience in South America. Through a three-week experience with our experienced team of leaders, we take veterans on a challenging and adventurous route to summit one of the Seven Summits of the world!
Aconcagua requires physical and mental toughness, grit, and resilience. We do not hire porters; we carry our own gear and food. The weather on Aconcagua can change at any time. This is not an adventure for the weak of heart but is one for those in for an rewarding adventure through the Andes.
Aconcagua is the tallest peak in the world outside the Himalayas, the apex of both the Southern and Western Hemispheres, and the second tallest mountain in the 7 summits (the highest mountain on each continent). Aconcagua resides along the Andes, nearly equidistance between Mendoza, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile.
